This 10 week workshop offers students a chance to do an in-depth study of traditional oil painting techniques, as well as explore the mediums and materials used throughout history.

Students will learn a variety of indirect painting methods in order to better understand how the great painters of the past made the works that we see in museums today.

Intregal to this learning will be an in depth study of oil, varnishes, and other paint amendments employed by the great masters. We’ll also explore brushes, paint surfaces, and paint application techniques that can be used to bring a whole new level of sophistication to your art.
